broken wing

poem

let go of past days when paths led astray

found truth in Love rays

flew with reckless abandon seducing the Sea to be a companion

Her waves crashed so the angel swam three feet above them

tips of toes touching her aura which glowed like Sun singing on surf

baptized herself in self-worth

tis a blessing and a curse to sense the pain of others

assumed strong enough to let her wings flutter

falling into a steel grey bog that sucked her under

trying to breathe Life into it

so she thought

the resuscitation was for naught, yet she still fought

with a broken wing

as trusting angels

do

until

the will they had to fly

dies
